    This is a great idea,
Moleskine City Notebooks. Moleskines with maps and other types of pages that allow you to create your own city guide book.

Here is a Flickr photoset of a prototype.

I think this will be a great way to organize what you liked, where it was, and what you want to do in a city. You can lend them to friends when they visit your city or keep them for when you visit another city again.

I don't see them posted at Amazon, but the US editions aren't supposed to ship til 2007. I'll get the Boston and NYC right away.

I just finished "The World According to Garp" (hence the title of this entry). I liked it, I really don't know why I picked it up, Irving never interested me in the past, it was a snap decision and I am glad I read it.

The US TV schedule of the World Cup (via Kottke)
I'll try and watch the US games when I can.

    Depeche Mode Live
All of the shows on CD or MP3 for this leg of the tour. I'm going to buy the Live at Jones Beach CD, which is WAY cheaper than the $100 ticket price was.

UPDATE: It seems Dave had laryngitis 2 nights before the LI show. I might get a UK show now.

    Mayday
    Today is reboot day.

You will notice there are no changes to this site.

You will notice that I still use
Blogger and have not switched to WordPress or TextPattern.

You will notice that I need to get my act together.

You will not notice that I was robbed of 2 cable modems, 1 box of Product 19, a Griffen iTrip for a 2nd gen iPod, a serial cable, a canvas bag, some Windows software from 1997 (Encarta 97, Windows 95, etc) and a green plastic tub from my car which was parked in Brooklyn on Saturday night.

You will also not notice that they left behind 2 jackets, 2 pairs of shoes, my darts, a stuffed turtle, dirty laundry, a BU hockey hat, some money, and the car.

You will notice that it is most likely going to be impossible to find a 2nd generation iPod accessory anywhere anymore, except at apple.com apparently.

You will not notice that I will miss the canvas bag the most.
