At open house and nothing left to do
The school is having an open house for perspective students today, and I had to be here in case a laptop exploded or no one knew how to work the projector. So I have been web jumping.

NaNoNotNow
Here it is, November 3rd, and for the first time in 3 years I have not signed up to do NaNoWriMo. Of course in 3 years I wrote about a thousand words for 3 different novels that I almost immediately detested. Those outlines and opening paragraphs are sitting in 3 separate folders on 3 separate computers. It feels good not to be under the pressure to write something in 30 days. I always thought that if I could get in the habit of writing every day for NaNoWriMo then I would continue writing until the thoughts and dreams that bubble in my head started to coalesce into stories and tales.
This, of course, never happened.
The longest I wrote for was last year, when I went a week writing everyday and then for no reason I remember, I stopped. It could have been work, or just life, but 20 days later I realized that I had not completed another novel in November. This is life.
Last night I dreamed that the European Union was invading America. I don't know why. I think they wanted to remove Bush from power, or maybe they just needed something to conquer. At one point in the dream I was crossing my Mother's backyard, wearing my Green Day American Idiot tee, when troops parachuted into the backyard. They searched me for weapons and then left, as fighter jets were dueling over Long Island.
