Stolen words reproduced
This post is one of the may reasons I love reading Dooce. The whole structure of the first 3 paragraphs is great. And so with absolutely no permission I reproduce them:"The scent of emotion by Heather Armstrong.
"Last August Leta and I went shopping with my sister, September, to a fancy Walmart near my mothers house. My sister has a romantic relationship with Walmart and if she could be granted one wish in the world it would probably be a naked shopping spree at the biggest Walmart in all the land so she could rub up against all the low prices with her bare skin. If she could marry Walmart she totally would.
"This particular Walmart was one of those marketplace Walmarts where the lighting isnt so fluorescent that your skin turns green. I usually dont buy anything from Walmart because you never know where it has been, but I found a bottle of Walmart brand baby lotion on sale and decided Id risk it. Im glad I did because it turned out to be full of lavender and chamomile scents, and when applied to Letas skin it made her almost irresistible to eat.
"The next week I checked into the hospital because I was thinking about killing myself."
I love that. Just love it.
Now if I had been an English major I may have annotated the fuck out of this with odd English major stuff, but I am an engineer, so I just stole it completely.
If she ever writes an autobiography or tell all, this should be the start of the opening chapter.

Kenmore Makeover
Various links about the history, renovation and future of Kenmore Square in Boston, where I worked for nearly 5 years.
New restaurant, Eastern Standard opens in May. I walked by last Friday and the bar looks fantastic.

Text Drive
In my new home with my old design.
My Jadedturtle emails probably don't work at all. So don't use them.
I decided not to move all of my photos over yet, so all the links from the Pics page are dead, the only thing that is still up are my Flickr photos.
Other things may or may not happen.
There are holding pages for A Wicked Mind and Cutillo.com up, but I am not really in the mood to design or write code.
I am also hungover. That is all.

Going away.
I need to change some things on the site.
Mostly in the background. I might be moving to a new server, I might not. I still have to the 4th to decide.
I really don't like the layout of the site anymore. I am no longer happy with Blogger, but don't know if I want MT, Wordpress, or Textpattern.
So don't expect anyting til my birthday, which is the 7th, if you want to buy me something.

Fools
Being a Met fan, there is a lot of heartache. It is even worse when they get you with something that, obviously, can't be true:
The 168 MPH fastball.
