H@CK3D
The server that hosts this site was hacked this past Thursday by r00t System.
Some links won't work for awhile.
Update: Everything is back up, except for Photo index pages, which are still the crappy Owned page.
I have to find them.
I really need to do a better job with backup organization.
Also, it appears that the server was Hacked to get at Wil Wheaton, whose site is on the same server as mine.

Clouds + light pollution = No ISS
Unfortunately it is partly cloudy out right now. This means that there is more light pollution as everything is reflected back at me, and so I can't see any stars, let alone the possibility of seeing the Space Station. I wasn't in the path to see the eclipse anyway.

ISS + Jupiter = The end of the world
Tonight around 9:30 PM look up and you might see the International Space Station Pass by.
If you are really lucky, you will see the station eclipse Jupiter.
Wish my telescope was here, instead of in NY in pieces.

All around me are familiar faces
I just finished watching Donnie Darko. Why is it that I never see these films when they come out. These films that are fucking brilliant. I always see them later. Years later.
When this came out I remember seeing the poster and thinking that it was just some horror flick. Which I guess is why it didn't do well, first impressions can carry a long way. The wrong promoting can kill a good flick. Also really bad taglines.
"You can never go too far."
Supposedly a director's cut is going to be shown this year.
Was it all just a dream?

The Misunderestimated Man
Paul O'Neill, former treasury secretary: "The only way I can describe it is that, well, the President is like a blind man in a roomful of deaf people. There is no discernible connection."

Wired: Stealing Back the Airwaves
I've always wanted to start my own small radio station, but that might just be because of this movie.

Boston Bicycling
Good article on the present and future of bicycling here in Boston: Bicyclists Betrayed, The Boston Phoenix, May 7-13, 2004.
Which reminds me that I told myself to start riding the bike to work. I used to ride my bike everywhere in Boston. My only mishap was when a pedestrian hit me in Kenmore Square. He never even fell down, he broadsided me, and I ended up with a minor concussion cause I wasn't wearing a helmet.
Luckily I can take the Charles River trail all the way from home to work with only a half a mile of city streets.
Also: If you live in Boston and ride its mean streets pick up the Phoenix this week, there is a whole section on Cycling. (Or read it online)
