Just saw a DM video on MTV, haven't seen one played there since 1992.

I am procrastinating. Sorry if I am boring you. Go
here instead. I am off to play Naval Command.

    Yes I am secretly a
    Daria fan. Sue me.

I go back to the "ancestral" family home tomorrow. I'll be driving and taking the ferry. So if you see a white '81 Dodge Aires K broken down on the side of I-95 please stop and assist me. Thank you.

I am as red as a fully cooked lobster. I played a round of 18 today and forgot my sun block.
Aloe Vera is god. I like this brand, not that I have much experience or knowledge about their products.

So I can't type, yet I am. I was researching for the Wolfe List. Which in case you don't know is a email list that I belong to and have since 1996, that is all about Nero Wolfe and the 72 stories that he was in which were written by Rex Stout. Well I was researching television times for the new Nero Wolfe Series on A&E.

I am also watching the Stanley Cup and hope that the Devils win, even though the Avalanche is up 2 to nil right now. I am hurting and must stop typing.

    Well I just bought
cutillo.org (for now it just fowards to this site). I bought it because it was the only higher domain cutillo name left that would not cost me a whole shibang of money. For now I'll just use it as a mail server for my family.

I will be going back to West Islip next week, so if I know you that is where I will be.

My first round of golf for this season will be at Ponkapoag in Canton, MA. I don't know which coarse we are playing yet. I read up on it a little, It is cheap, $20 for a round of 18 on the weekend and from the comments I read it looks like it might not even be worth that. I'll see.

Hi I am President Bush. I am an oil man. Lets drill for some oil. Dig for some coal. Build some more Nuclear plants (eventhough the last one
built was torn down before it started operating, oh and it will take at least 10 years to build one)

My friend Bridgid sent this to me, she hasn't posted the whole thing so I'll just leave the top:

    ROLL YOUR OWN BLACKOUT
    THE FIRST DAY OF SUMMER
    JUNE 21, 2001 THURS EVE,

    7-10pm worldwide, all time zones

As an alternative to George W. Bush's energy policies and lack of emphasis on efficiency, conservation and alternative fuels, there will be a voluntary rolling blackout on the first day of summer, June 21 at 7pm - 10pm in any time zone (this will roll it across the planet).

Its a simple protest and a symbolic act. Turn out your lights from 7pm-10pm on June 21. Unplug whatever you can unplug in your house. Light a candle to the Sungoddess, kiss and tell or not, take a stroll in the dark, invent ghost stories, anything that's not electronic - have fun in the dark.

    ---

Or you could read about the Bush Plan.
    Globe story about Northeast.
NYTimes Overview of the Task Force's Report. I like the [rest of paragraph on page 7 illegible]. NYT got a good copy I guess.

In his speach today Bush talked about a new house that produces more electricity then it needs, by solar power. I don't know if this is a new house plan or not (I can't find any govt pages except for the Roofus) But this house has existed for some time. This the homepage of the Maine Solar House, Lord House.

Watching Mrs. Parker and the Viscous Circle on IFC. I love this movie, especially when I am feeling maudlin. A cool fansite. Though most of the links are no more. My copy of The Portable Dorothy Parker is in my bedside collection of books, though I haven't read from it in awhile. Well, my bedside collection consists of 27 books that I either like to pick up at any time or just say that I am reading to look intelligent. Some are collections, some novels, some diaries and one star guide. I move stuff around all the time. Well most of it is stuff that I should be reading right now, instead of watching movies and surfing the net. Hell as it is I should be writing. Haven't done that in awhile.

I feel this tendancy more so now after receiving a couple of stories from my friend Harry. You can read some of his older stories on his website. He doesn't post anything there anymore as that is considered publishing and so reduces his chances of actualy getting published (and paid).

    "You're a real living writer?"

In reality I am just too easily distracted, and if you search hard enough you can find some of what I once called "writing" on the web. I don't think it is much good, and it is hard to tell when I was the author or when it was someone else. Ah well. Anything that I have written that I, or others think is good, is on paper, or was. Some of it is lost. Not that there is alot of it.

So I haven't been doing much lately. No school. No job. Life has been good. Though I have no money I have been spending it like it crazy. Most of it is for stuff that I need, some was for stuff that I want, and the rest was on beer. Hey I am through with college after 10 years, I can use those drinks.

Lets put it this way, it is 5:30 and I just got out of bed. That is PM.

So, I just got a letter in the mail the other day. My 10 year reunion is coming up soon. My 10 year
high school reunion. It is on July 21st. Talked to some of my school friends and most seem to be going, so it won't be a bore. Should be fun.

I think that I want to make it into a full weekend thing, gotta talk to some people first. I also have to eat.

    9:16 PM

I just wrote a long and meaningful post and it disapeared into the ether. I guess I should save all future posts into the clipboard like the website says.

Ok I just finished reading Murakami's Sputnik Sweetheart. You can find it for yourself I am not going to write anymore code this day. Losing that post has made me as depressed as I was before I started writing it. The post kind of fixed my head a little and then, POOF! it was gone, not posted and not published. What is worse is that I got it back and then tried to post it again without saving it to the clipboard. And then it was gone for good.

What is even better is that it reminds me now of the end of Sputnik. The main, nameless character, referred only to as the Kafka-esque K. recieves a phone call, and before he can get the directions to pick up his friend he gets cut off. The phone does not ring again. He never sees her again. Was the phone call real? A dream? No its just another Murakami device. It pisses you off and riles you up and it is so much like real life. No ending just beginnings.

I really don't want to write as I fear that the post will also disapear into thin air just like Sumire.

Re-writing when you don't even have the original material has always been hard for me. Do you try to recapture the spirit in which the piece was written? Do you put in those things that you did write eventhough they might not flow into the redone work. If I was listening to a piece of music and wrote down a lyric should I rewrite the lyric again or listen to that song again or forget about the whole thing and start over? If I told a story should I tell it again? I have always wanted to rewrite the whole thing from start to finish. But I can never recapture it. I am not the same man who wrote the first piece. I changed. I am now the person who created the lost writing not the person who is going to write it. I am a different man. Cut off.

"I don't know where to begin, living in sin, how can I talk, look where we've been" - electronic, "get the message"

Somehow it fits the second time araound, but the rest of the letter is lost I won't try to re-visit. It is gone. I just hope that it is somewhere. On the other side. You just need the right window to look through to see it.

I will now start anew. I will forget what went before and will not even bring it up. It no longer exists and so much be forgotten lest it linger in my mind as a cancer.

    Change the record.

"Sometime we find ourselves, looking for something new, we stand outside ourselves, not knowing quite what to do...." electronic "Make it happen"

So as I have this feeling that I can't post for the time beeing, I'll just ramble and recap what escaped.

Party. It is on the 12th at 9. be there. no one else will pre-jitters, who cares, roomates don't care.

Money, borrowed, family friends, dead father and guilt and release.

    Depression, B. and Murakami.

So those were the main things I spoke about. Chopped up into little bits.

    So much for starting anew.

    11:30 PM

Hoping to get this in before
Blogger goes down for the night.

    I AM DONE WITH SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had my last final on Monday and so am now free to graduate on May 20th, 2001. There will be a live webcast on the commencement site if you want to watch.

I now have to start looking for a job and plan my trip to Europe. On the lines of the Europe trip, my dart buddies just gave me my graduation gift. Cash.

    Thanks guys.

It is a nice sum. I won't actually list it. But thanks to J., Moe, Harry, Rich B., Rich C., Ken, Pat and Dan. I'll use it wisely. Ummm Ok I'll just use it for fun.

Today was a great day. I am currently reading Murakami's Sputnik Sweetheart. So far it is just as good as anything else he ever wrote, which, in my opinion is better than 98% of all else that is written. Since I now have the time I might actually fix up the rest of the site.

Stay tuned. And if you know an aerospace company that is looking for employees email me.

    Well the
Senior Design Project is done. I think we bombed, but then (hopefully) my expectations of what we could have done might be skewed. J. did a great job on the plane, we had to hand it in but I will try to post pictures later.

I might even post the presentation that we did, but only if I feel that it is good enough, I might re-edit it.

That is what I feel I should do for the whole project. I want to rewrite the whole thing. Everything.

One more test, Propulsion, and then my education at Boston University is over and done.

    We are now
jadedturtle.com. Of course I am still on Geocities, I haven't the cash to pay to have my site to be hosted. So if you type www.jadedturtle.com you will automatically be re-routed to the Geocities site, which is where you are now. Ah well after I graduate I will get a real host and have the site actually be jadedturtle.com.

    MY SENIOR DESIGN PROJECT IS D R I V I N G ME INSANE.

Start work on the model tomorrow. My friend J. will be helping me on it. J. once told me he doesn't want his name listed on the site. So he is J.
